Wallace Tri-Adjustable mobile gantries offer an affordable and flexible alternative to more expensive overhead cranes. They are packed with features that increase the crane’s mobility, versatility, and strength.
The Wallace tri-adjustable gantry crane has an adjustable span, height, tread, and caster frame spread. It is available in light-weight aluminum, steel, and an aluminum i-beam steel frame hybrid. Cranes come in 1/2 to 10-ton capacities and you can position them almost anywhere. They are exceptionally easy to transport and expand.
Adjustable Span
The adjustable span (B) and clear span (D) afford even more advantages – inboard or outboard bracing or cantilever configuration. The crane’s I-beam can be extended beyond the outer frame of the crane making it possible for you to lift and/or move your load without having to situate it immediately between the two A-frame legs. This broadens the lifting range of the crane and makes it much easier to load, unload, and/or move cargo on one or both sides of the crane.
The cantilever overhang is limited to 25% of the I-beam length and 60% of capacity. No matter which configuration you use, our wheeled (push) trolley with a hook-mounted, manual hand-chain or CM Lodestar electric hoist will travel the entire length of the I-beam.
Adjustable Height
Adjustable main legs (C) make crane height adjustments possible at 6-inch intervals. Frequent height adjustments are quick and easy with our optional gantry crane Jack Kit. Height can be raised to go over equipment or material in its path or lowered to go under low ceilings, obstructions, or through doors. Legs can be set at different heights where flooring or terrain is uneven. It’s ideal for loading from truck dock to floor or from ground level to mezzanine.
Adjustable Tread
The caster tread (E) on gantries can be adjusted to roll through narrow aisles or doorways without costly disassembly. It can be extended to full width for maximum stability.

Included safety cables can be attached inside caster frame tubes to prevent overspreading when adjusting.
Durable Construction
Only high-quality, heavy-gauge steel and aluminum tubing are used. I-beams are American Standard. Every steel gantry is dip painted with red gloss industrial quality paint to protect both inner and outer tubing walls. All bolts, pins, and hardware are plated to prevent corrosion.
Tri-Adjustable Gantries are offered in all-aluminum alloy construction for lightweight and maximum portability. Combination (hybrid) models have aluminum alloy I-beams with steel A-frames so they are lightweight and cost less. Steel construction models give you the greatest capacity at the lowest cost.
Self Aligning I-Beam
The exclusive Wallace I-beam support system will align with off-center loads to avoid crane and trolley distortion. Best of all, the Wallace support system slides along the I-Beam enabling you to adjust leg spacing and set up for cantilever configurations.
Height Adjusting Bolts
The main legs on all models are equipped with spring-loaded bolts permitting gantry height adjustment at 6-inch intervals. They can be locked out until the desired height is reached, then unlocked to engage automatically.

Casters
Four-position swivel lock casters offer special advantages. Locked at 90° to each other, they position the crane more firmly than a brake. Lock “lead” casters and unlock trailing casters to easily move and steer the crane. Durable composition wheels are standard on all cranes with the exception of the 15-ton gantry which is equipped with four 10” diameter steel v-grooved wheels. Ideal for all floors, they are nonmarking and non-sparking.
All round-tube gantries are equipped with four 6” or 8” diameter wheels and the square-tube Tri-Adjustables have eight 8” or 10” diameter dual wheels. Square tube Tri-Adjustable cranes are our higher capacity cranes (5-ton thru 10-ton Tri-Adjustables) and/or the ones with taller heights (2-ton model numbers that begin with “2T” and 3-ton model numbers that begin with “3T”).
Alternate steel V-grooved casters are available for all cranes for use on angle iron track.

Optional Kart Kit
Stress-proof steel pins with locking rings enable quick assembly and disassembly. Some aluminum cranes can be hand-carried. Alternatively, you have the option to purchase a Kart Kit which transforms your disassembled crane into a hand cart for easy storage and transportation.
