Yes, Tri-Adjustable, Hippolift, and Mighty-Mite cranes can cantilever up to 25% of the length of the I-beam.

A cantilever chart showing weight limits and counterweights required is provided on each model page. You can also find cantilever charts and weight-balancing procedures in the Resource Center.

Yes, Wallace Gantry Cranes are designed to be pushed under load.

Can Wallace supply any type of certificate without a load test?2024-06-21T10:54:45-04:00

Yes. We can supply a Certificate of Compliance for our gantries and tripods at no additional charge.

Can you send me a Wallace catalog?2024-06-21T11:15:16-04:00

We no longer supply printed catalogs as we have uploaded all of the catalog information as PDFs on product category pages.

For example, you will find a product catalog on the steel Tri-Adjustable 3 and 5-ton gantry models page and the adjustable-height aluminum tripod models page. Look toward the bottom of the page under “Additional Information” and “Product Catalog”.

Yes, you will be charged for shipping. Shipping is F.O.B. Frazer, PA.

We warrant that Wallace Cranes (Wallace) products manufactured by us will be of the kind and quality described and will be free of defects in workmanship or material.

Do you have outline drawings of your cranes?2024-06-21T14:33:37-04:00

Yes, we have outline drawings (dimensional diagrams) for all of our Tri-Adjustable and Thrifty crane models. When you are on the specific model page, look under Product Details on the Dimensional Drawing tab.

Alternatively, you will also find drawings in the Resource Center on the Dimensional Drawings page.

No, we do not. Customers are responsible for installation.

Do you provide parts lists for your crane models?2024-06-21T10:59:04-04:00

You will find a list of parts for each of our gantry and tripod models on their respective model pages. For example, the parts list for the steel, fixed-height tripod hoist model number 4-40141 can be found here and the parts list for the 2-ton aluminum Tri-Adjustable gantry with a 10′ span and adjustable heights ranging from 6’9″ to 10’0″ (model number A4T10-A12) can be found here.

We also provide access to all parts lists in the Resource Center on the Parts List & Parts Location Diagrams page or by searching for the model number using the search feature in the upper right-hand corner of the main menu.

Does aluminum cost more than steel?2024-06-21T11:57:15-04:00

Yes. Aluminum costs more than steel. It is a much lighter weight material which makes it an attractive alternative to heavy steel.

Does Wallace offer motorized cranes?2024-06-21T11:19:12-04:00

Yes. We offer motorized cranes designed to operate on inverted-angle iron track.

To find out if the specific model you’re looking at can be motorized, look at the “Optional Accessories” tab under “Product Details” on each model page. It will say if options for track mounting with V-groove casters and motorizing the crane are available.

Yes, quantity discounts are available on Wallace gantry and tripod cranes. Please contact our Sales Department to inquire about quantity discounts available for specific model numbers.

Does Wallace test their equipment?2024-06-21T11:02:01-04:00

Yes, upon request. A Certified Load Test for our gantry and tripod cranes may be done for an additional charge.

How do I know what to specify when buying a gantry crane?2024-06-21T10:48:11-04:00

If this is your first time buying a gantry crane, it can be very confusing. We have created a post in our Resource Center that speaks to what you need to know when buying a gantry crane. Start there. When it comes time to request a quote, we will ask you a series of questions that will help us determine which crane best suits your needs.

How hard is it to push the crane?2024-06-21T11:21:13-04:00

How hard it is to push a crane depends on the crane size, capacity, and metal type. A good “rule of thumb” is it will take approximately one person per ton of a loaded-up crane. An equal number of people at each end of the crane is recommended.

How quickly do you ship?2024-06-21T11:56:57-04:00

Most standard crane models up to 5 Ton Capacity and 15′ span are in stock and can ship 2-5 days after receipt of order.

7 1/2 to 10 Ton cranes and/or cranes with spans over 15′ typically ship 1 to 2 weeks after receipt of order.

15 Ton Cranes are made to order and typically ship approximately 5 to 7 weeks after receipt of the order.

Is the hoist (and trolley) included?2024-06-21T11:51:39-04:00

No, hoists and trolleys are not included. They are sold separately. The price will be quoted when you Request a Quote for a crane that includes a hoist and/or trolley.

Please contact us if you want to receive a price quote for a hoist or trolley without a crane.

What are the increments for height adjustment?2024-06-21T11:08:56-04:00

Holes for height adjustments on our cranes are in 6″ increments.

What does a Wallace Certificate of Compliance state?2024-06-21T11:11:09-04:00

The Wallace Certificate of Compliance states that the crane shipped to you will accept 125% of the rated load without permanent deformation or failure of any component.

What size i-beams does Wallace stock?2024-06-21T11:10:39-04:00

Wallace Cranes stocks a range of steel and aluminum i-beams for hundreds of different crane models and thousands of applications. You can find a list of options on our Gantry Standard Shape I-Beam Flange Width Chart in the Resource Center.
