Not all butterflies are lightweight insects. When you have a 48" butterfly valve made of cast iron, steel, and maybe some delicate electronics, light is NOT the operative word. You need a Wallace Portable crane to take care of those heavy butterflies. Our Tri-Adjustable cranes are equally adept with globe, gate, and ball valves. For easy transportation, you can fold a crane into a small package. Swivel pin mounting on the legs and leg braces and pinned connections allow the crane to go from folded to ready to use in minutes. Just four pins are needed to connect the caster frames to the main legs. No wrenches required to reassemble the crane! In use, the Wallace proprietary four-bar linkage design is ideal for keeping the load level and reducing the strain on the crane, especially when the ground is uneven. For portability and high capacity, an All-Aluminum Tri-Adjustable crane can lift up to 3 tons with a crane weight of under 400 lbs. Wallace also provides quick remote access to help you rebuild and inspect your cranes. Two page assembly manuals and inspection packets are downloadable from the web. This is the fourth installment of a series of application stories designed to highlight serious lifting options. Please note that while no lifting slings are shown in the image, for any real lifting you should be sure the crane, hoist, and slings are sized for the expected load. Click
